We have 2 shepherds huts : 'Shirley' and 'Doris'
Both of the huts are equally well appointed and the only difference is that 'Shirley' has a double bed while 'Doris' has a double bed and a single bunk bed. Bed linen, towels, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery are all provided. (And hot water bottles to keep you snug on chillier nights!)

How our huts are constructed
The open, hilly countryside of the southern part Peak District National Park is not as rugged or gaunt as the northern area, but even so we can get windy and rainy days.
Our huts have been designed to keep you snug whatever the weather.
The outer walls are made of strong, corrugated steel lined with a wooden framework. The interior is tongue and grooved and insulated between the wooden walls with natural sheeps' wool - environmentally sound, fire retardant and warm
For your safety each hut is fitted with a smoke alarm, a carbon monoxide alarm, a fire blanket and an extinguisher.

In the Barn
For your convenience
Our huts are designed to retain a traditional feel and have a minimal impact on the environment. We believe that the convenience of an en suite toilet is something that most people will appreciate. Our view is that other washing facilities in the huts would be out of keeping with the true shepherds hut feel.
A utility/bathing area specifically for the use of the shepherds huts has been created in the barn. The utility area has a sink and drainer for washing up and secure cupboards (one for each hut) that contain power sockets and usb charging ports. There is a freezer for recharging the freezer packs used in the cool boxes provided in the huts and a hair dryer for your use.
A separate room houses a walk in shower, hand basin and conventional toilet

The Great Outdoors
Although there is a grill in each hut and the log burners incorporate a small stove, we have provided a fire pit for sunny days when cooking on an open fire is almost too good to pass up! Of course, camp fire cooking is the way to go for those of you who want a truly outdoor experience,
Off road, secure parking isn't a problem here and we can provided indoor lockable bike storage if required
